UP Scholarship is provided to Pre Matric, Post Matric students. Pre-matric includes Class 9 - Class 10th while Post Matric is categorized into inter (Class 11th - Class 12th and other than Inter, Post Matric outside State.

UP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
One of the key eligibility criteria to avail of the Scholarship is that the student must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh (UP) or hold a domicile of UP.
Before applying, candidates must check their eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria will vary from one scheme to another.
1) UP Pre-Matric Scholarship for the student of General/ST/SC Category:
General/SC/ST students of Class 9th and Class 10th are eligible to apply. The candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh.
2) UP Post-Matric Intermediate Scholarship for the student of General/ST/SC Category:
a) General/SC/ST students of Class 11th and 12th are eligible to apply.
b) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 2 Lakh for General candidates.
c) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh for SC/ST candidates.
3) UP Post-Matric (Other Than Intermediate) Scholarship for the student of General/ST/SC Category:
a) General/SC/ST students of graduation, Post-Graduation, Ph.D., Or higher level are eligible to apply for this.
b) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 2 Lakh (for General candidates) and INR 2.5 Lakh (for SC/ST for the candidate of General/ST/SC Category
4) UP Post-Matric Other State Scholarship For General, SC, ST Category Students:
a) General/SC/ST students who are studying in Class 11th or above are eligible to apply for this.
b) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 2 Lakh for General candidates.
c) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh for SC/ST candidates.
5) UP Pre-Matric Scholarship For Minority students:
a) Minority community students who are studying in Class 9 or Class 10 are eligible to apply for this.
b) The annual income of the candidate’s family should not exceed INR 1 Lakh.
6) UP Post-Matric (Other Than Intermediate) Scholarship For Minority students:
a) Minority community students pursuing their graduation, Post-Graduation, Ph.D. or higher-level education are eligible to apply.
b) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 2 Lakh from all sources.
7) UP Post Matric Intermediate Scholarship For Minority Students:
a) Minority community students studying in Class 11 and Class 12 are eligible to apply.
b) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 2 Lakh.
8) UP Pre-Matric Scholarship For OBC Students:
a) OBC category students studying in Class 9th and 10th are eligible to apply for this.
b) Candidate’s family annual income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh from all sources.
9) UP Post-Matric Scholarship (Intermediate) For OBC Students:
a) OBC category students studying in Class 11th and 12th are eligible to apply.
b) The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 Lakh from all sources.

a) OBC category students from graduation, Post-Graduation, Ph.D., or higher level are eligible to apply.

UP Scholarship: How to Apply for UP Scholarship Form
By visiting UP Government's Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement Online System, students can easily apply for the UP Scholarship Form.

Step 1: Registration Process
- Visit the official website i.e. scholarship.up.gov.in
- Go to the “Student” section and click on the “Registration” showing in the dropdown list.
- Select the scheme category for which you want to apply
- Fill in all the necessary details and click on “Submit” to register.
- Take the printout of the registration page.
Step 2: Student Login
- After registration go to the “Student” section and select the “Fresh Login” if you are registered for the first time while the “ Renewal Login” option is for those who register for the second time.
- Enter your login details like registration number, date of birth, and password, and click “Proceed”.
Step 3: Filling the Scholarship Application Form
- After login, you will be redirected to the user dashboard.
- Click on the “Fill in application form” tab and enter all the required credentials.
- Candidates are advised to review the entered before submitting.
- Now Click on the “Submit” button.
Step 4: Upload Documents
- Once you click on the submit button, you will need to upload your necessary documents.
- The candidate should upload the desired document in the prescribed format
